Agility partners with S. African supply firm Super Group

KUWAIT, June 29 (KUNA) -- Leading integrated logistics provider Agility has joined forces with South African management and transportation specialist Super Group, after acquiring a stake in the Johannesburg based company's freight unit.
In a press statement on Wednesday, Agility said that the product of this partnership would be a new company christened SG Agility Proprietary Ltd, which will offer air, maritime and land freight services, in addition to customs clearance and warehousing, adding that the company will be based in the South African capital.
"South Africa is vital to our strategic growth and expansion in Africa and has well-developed financial, legal, communications and transport sectors, along with an open trade policy, in addition to a strong domestic market," the statement quoted Agility's CEO of Middle East & Africa Elias Monem as saying.
Moreover, he also noted that Agility will continue to increase its presence in Africa, where it will "deliver various logistical services to all parts of the African continent." With cutting edge capabilities and unmatched logistics services, Agility is at the forefront of the country's logistics world, with a workforce of more than 22,000 employees in over 100 nations across the globe.
