Japan's central bank chief says no problem with FX funding

TOKYO, June 29 (KUNA) -- The Japanese financial institutions have no problem with foreign currency funding in the aftermath of the Britain's vote to leave the European Union (EU), said Bank of Japan (BOJ) chief Haruhiko Kuroda.
"At the moment, the Bank of Japan provides adequate funds whenever needed. Japanese banks don't have any problems with their foreign currency funding," Kuroda told reporters Wednesday after a meeting with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Finance Minister Taro Aso.
The BOJ conducted dollar-funds supplying operation on Tuesday to stabilize financial markets following the British referendum last week. (end) mk.msa
