RAMALLAH, June 28 (KUNA) -- UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict will not be resolved by taking security measures only, but there should be political leaderships committed to peace.
Ban Ki-moon, during a press conference after meeting the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said "We can't ignore Palestinian rage stoked by the stalemate in the peace process and an occupation lasting half a century, these factors have led to violence." Meanwhile, Netanyahu asked the assistance of the UN to bring back the remains of the two dead Israeli soldiers, who were detained by Hamas since the war of 2014.
Moreover, the secretary General will meet the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah today to discuss the ongoing peace process. (end) nk.mys
