8 wounded in Turkey car blast

ISTANBUL, June 28 (KUNA) -- A booby-trapped car blew up in Diyarbakr in southeastern Turkey on Tuesday wounding at least eight persons, the Ekhlas news agency reported.
According to the news agency, members of the Workers Party of Kurdistan (the PKK) set off the explosives near a police car, adding that the blast wounded six civilians and two policemen.
The explosion inflicted extensive damage in nearby properties, buildings and stores, and the wounded were taken to hospital. (end) ta.rk
