Mass resignation among British shadow cabinet following Brexit

LONDON, June 26 (KUNA) -- Around 11 ministers of Britain's Labour shadow cabinet have resigned Sunday in an attempt to force the cabinet's leader Jeremy Cobryn to step down following Britain's vote to leave the EU.
Five among the resigned ministers voiced their protest against Cobryn's recent decision to sack the shadow cabinet's Foreign Secretary Hilary Benn, who strongly criticized Cobryn's leadership for failing to persuade the Labour Party to stay in the EU.
The resignees included Shadow Secretaries of State for Health, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Justice, Attorney General, Young People, Transport, and Environment, in addition to Assistant Secretary to the Treasury. (end) mrn.ma
