KSC divers retrieve sunken boat

KUWAIT, June 18 (KUNA) -- A diving team from Kuwait Science Club (KSC) managed to retrieve a 22-feet long boat that capsized near the fishermen's Diwaniya at Al-Kut marina on Saturday.
Soon after being notified of the accident, the divers rushed to the scene and managed to bring back the boat, said Mohammad Al-Rashed, director of the KSC marine ecology dept. and head of the team.
"The process took several hours and met the environmental safety standards," he said, noting that the team was able to control a petrol leak from the boat in order to prevent any hazards to the marine ecology. (end) zak.gb
