KUWAIT, June 15 (KUNA) -- Environment Public Authority (EPA) has formed six working teams of judicial officers, in cooperation with the Environmental Police to inspect the environmental violations and monitor any environmental imbalance in various facilities accross the country pursuant to the terms of the new Environmental Protection Act and its amendments.
EPA's Director General Sheikh Abdullah Ahmed Al-Humoud Al-Sabah expressed in a statement Wednesday the determination of the EPA on the application of the new environmental protection act with transparency as it recently formed six teams to detect any irreguularities in this regard.
Sheikh Abdullah said that the EPA, through its ongoing campaigns, seeks to protect and ensure sustainability of environment in order to preserve the rights of future generations, praising the efforts provided by judicial police officers and the environmental police recently in cooperation with the EPA in the ongoing environmental campaigns.
He stressed the need to respect the new environmental act by all institutions and individuals.(end).
