KUWAIT, June 13 (KUNA) -- Tanzanian Minister of Finance and Planning Philip Mpango on Monday called the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) a valued partner in the country's efforts to boost development through a myriad of projects.
Speaking during a parliamentary session allocated to discuss the country's budget, Mpango commended KFAED and other international organizations for their contributions to Tanzania's development, said a statement by Kuwait's embassy in the East African nation.
Moreover, the Tanzanian Minister of Finance urged further support as the country aims to develop a robust economy conducive to investment.
The parliamentary session was attended by Kuwait's Ambassador to Tanzania Jassim Al-Najim, along with a host of international diplomats.
Forty percent of Tanzania's new USD 13.5 billion budget has been earmarked for development projects. (end) nsa.nam
