Kuwait strongly condemns deadly shooting in Orlando

KUWAIT, June 12 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait on Sunday strongly condemned the terrorist attack in the US city of Orlando, Florida, that killed and wounded over 100 people.
These criminal acts "pose a grave harm to Islam, and are distant from its noble teachings," a foreign ministry source said.
The escalation of terrorist acts, he said, required the international community's doubling of efforts to eliminate "this disgusting phenomenon and ridding the world from its evil." The source reaffirmed Kuwait's rejection to all types of terrorism.
He extended condolences for the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for the wounded.
Omar Saddiqui Mateen opened fire in a nightclub killing 50 people and wounded 53 others. (end) bs
