KHARTOUM, June 6 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti charity "Direct Aid" inaugurated on Monday a drinking water station in Al-Banih district in North Kordofan, Central Sudan, cost of which amounted to USD 96,300.
Representative of North Kordofan Al-Fateh Zain El-Abidine, in the opening statement, expressed gratitude to the people of Kuwait for their financial contributions through the society. He affirmed significance of the project in an area where the locals are in dire need for water.
Director of the "Direct Aid" in Sudan Alman Sidati said the station includes a 8,000-gallon tank and a network of pipes for securing water for human and animal. (end) hha.rk
