Israeli DM announces supporting two-state resolution

RAMALLAH, May 31 (KUNA) -- The Israeli Minister of Defense Avigdor Lieberman announced supporting the two-state solution as he was sworn in before the Israeli Parliament, or Knesset.
The Knesset voted yesterday on appointing Lieberman as Defense Minister with 55 MPs in favor, and 43 against.
"I am committed to reach a settlement with our Arb and Palestinian neighbors, as the Arab initiative includes positive factors that would contribute in mending the negotiations with the Palestinians," Lieberman said.
"We are ready to negotiate with Arab states," he affirmed.
Lieberman is known for his radical positions against the Palestinians and Arabs. (end) nq.lb
