KFAED inaugurates Albania Friendship monument

TIRANA, May 30 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) Director General Abdulwahab Al-Bader along with the city of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj inaugurated Monday a friendship monument memorial, to be a sign of the strong Kuwaiti-Albanian relations.
The monument is built by Kuwait government through the KFAED, Kuwait Embassy to Albania said in a statement.
Al-Bader expressed, in a speech at the ceremony, his pleasure on the occasion which reflected ties between the countries.
For his part, Veliaj considered the monument "a reflection of the spirit of cooperation and friendship between the two countries and peoples and is an important development for the distinguished relations," pointing out that Kuwait was the first Gulf state to have diplomatic relations with Albania.
Veliaj thanked His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for his support and contribution to strengthen bilateral relations. (end) mb
