Turkish FM, Libya PM discuss reopening embassy in Tripoli

TUNIS, May 30 (KUNA) -- Reopening the Turkish embassy in Libya was the focus of talks Turkey's Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu held in Tripoli with Libyan Prime Minister Fayz Al-Sarraj on Monday.
Members of the Libya presidency council attended the talks held at Tripoli's Mitiga International Airport, according to Libyan media reports.
Coinciding with Cavusoglu's visit, the Turkish Red Crescent offered the presidency council 10 tons of humanitarian aid and medical supplies.
The Turkish embassy in the Libyan capital was closed in August 2014 due to security concerns. Ankara also closed its consulate general in Libya after it was targeted by a bomb attack. (end) ksj.msa
