Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled leaves Jeddah after high-level meetings

JEDDAH, May 29 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's First Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah left Jeddah Sunday after leading Kuwait's delegation to meetings of Arab Gulf Foreign Ministers and GCC-Britain strategic dialogue.
The GCC and British sides discussed security and economic cooperation, the Middle East peace process, and the situations in Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Libya.
The Arab Gulf diplomats, meanwhile, discussed a host of issues including the implementation of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz's vision to further cement joint GCC action, and multi-faceted integration.
The foreign ministers also discussed Syria, Yemen, Libya, Iraq, relations with Iran and the fight against terrorism.
Sheikh Sabah Khaled, accompanied by a senior delegation, was seen off at the airport by Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir, GCC Secretary General Abdullatif Al-Zayani, Kuwait's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Kuwait's Consul in Jeddah Saleh Al-Saqabi.
