KUWAIT, May 28 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah received on Saturday President of Kuwaiti Sports Club for the Deaf Fahad Abu Shaiba and Chairman Ismail Karam as well as a number of officials and athletes.
Sheikh Salman met with these officials and athletes to congratulate them on snatching the second place in a recent international soccer championship in France and bagging about 25 varied medals; nine gold, seven silver and nine bronze. The minister lauded efforts exerted by officials and players.
Meanwhile, the officials confirmed that support provided by the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs was behind chalking up these achievements.
Sheikh Salman also received MP Abdullah Al-Mayouf who was accompanied by former national team's players Saad Al-Houti, Na'im Saad, Mohammad Karam and other athletes. (end)
