WASHINGTON, May 26 (KUNA) -- Donald Trump crossed the 1,237 delegate threshold needed to reach the Republican party presidential nomination ahead of schedule on Thursday.
The delegate count was reached was reached through support granted by "previously uncommitted delegates," CNN revealed, ahead of the final significant party primaries in California and New Jersey on June 7.
Trump will receive the formal honour at the July 18-21 Republican convention, however, his delegate count puts to bed any possibility of this convention being contested. (end)
