Tunisia keen on promoting social development cooperation with Kuwait - Min. Bin Ramadhan

TUNIS, May 25 (KUNA) -- Tunisia is working with Kuwait on promoting a solid cooperation on social development while a relevant memorandum of understanding (MoU) would be signed later this month, Minister of Social Affairs Mahmoud bin Ramadhan said.
Kuwait's Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, and Minister of State for Development and Planning Hind Al-Sabeeh will be visiting Tunisia on May 26-27 to sign the MoU, Bin Ramadhan said in a statement to KUNA on Wednesday.
He said they would hold talks on ways of promoting cooperation in social development, helping people with special needs and poor families.
He said he was looking foward to get acquainted with the experience of Kuwait in social development and how the government was blending people with special needs in the society.
Bin Ramadhan said Tunisia could benefit from the experience of Kuwait in social development.
He added that Al-Sabeeh would visit a number of social institutions, noting that his ministry was providing monthly assistance to around 250,000 poor families every month.
The Tunisian ministry, he said, would launch a survey to determine the needs of 9,000 families. He said the assistance were not only financial but to help these families blend within the economic development process. (end) ksj.bs
