KUWAIT, May 18 (KUNA) -- - Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah praised on Wednesday preparedness of workers in his ministry for the Ramadan TV viewing season.
Having toured the ministry's TV and media outlets to get a closer look at their promotion and marketing of Ramadan programs on the state-run Kuwait TV, the minister noted the increasing importance of marketing these programs everywhere crowds of people are found, such as at the airport, gas stations, coops, malls, movie houses, newspapers, and the social media, a statement by the ministry said.
It added that the minister said that programming on Kuwait TV and other ministry outlets for this Ramadan season abounds with shows that emphasize Islamic values and the positive nature of the Kuwaiti national character.
Lots of these TV shows are soap operas exclusively run by Kuwait TV, including The Vendor of Beans, Stories, The Deceitful Lady, and A Special Case, in addition to religious and cultural and patriotic programs as well as children's programs and game shows, said the statement. (end) mdm.ajs
