Five people die during attack on gas plant northern Baghdad

BAGHDAD, May 15 (KUNA) -- Five individuals were killed and 13 others were injured when a terror group targeted a gas plant north of the capital Baghdad, said a security source Sunday.
A statement by Baghdad's central command affirmed that the security forces managed to repel the attackers, killing two in the process.
The attackers detonated a booby-trapped car at the gate of the facility to gain entry, said the source, noting that the explosion had caused a fire within the plant.
Security forces are handling the situation with teams from the civil defense trying to contain the fire, affirmed the statement. (end) ahh.gta
