Two separate shootings in Washington D.C. leave 3 people dead

WASHINGTON, May 6 (KUNA) -- Two separate shootings in Montgomery County, just outside Washington, DC, left three people dead and another critically wounded, police said on Friday.
Police officials announced that three people were shot, one was killed, one died at a hospital later, and one was critically wounded in the parking lot of Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, Maryland.
Around 50 minutes later another shooting occurred outside a grocery store several miles away, killing a woman, while police officials are yet to confirm if the incidents are linked.
Later, security officials said that the shooter in the first incident, named Eulalio Tordil, 62, was arrested and is believed to be linked to a third shooting that occurred last night where he shot and killed his wife in a parking lot of a high school while today's shootings have no immediate connection but the suspect according to police officials who gave an update through a press conference.
Tordil was placed on administrative duties from his law enforcement job at the Federal Protective service, a division of US Homeland Security, according to media sources. (end) yt.ibi
