HANOI, May 6 (KUNA) -- His Highness the visiting Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said on Friday that the Kuwaiti Government will not spare any effort in transforming Kuwait into a regional and international financial, commercial hub.
This remark was made during talks with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
"We have a valuable investment opportunity here where it would boost bilateral ties in all domains," His Highness the Prime Minister said.
He expressed his aspiration that this visit will be a turning point to establish better relations between Kuwait and Vietnam, "we are looking forward for this cooperation that would materialize Kuwait's future vision." He added that joint cooperation would contribute greatly to beefing up commercial and economic movement in Asia and the world.
On his part, Premier Phuc expressed appreciation for the Kuwaiti leadership and people, noting that Kuwait was of the first Gulf state to establish diplomatic ties with Vietnam some 40 years ago.
He also extolled the many initiatives Kuwait had offered during that period, which contributed to Vietnam's development. The Vietnamese Premier also voiced his country's admiration for Kuwait's international humanitarian status.
Kuwait's vision for 2035 aims at turning the country into a financial and commercial hub, under an active leadership from the private sector. The vision strives to create a healthy competition among businesses and encourage having a highly qualified human resources.
His Highness the Kuwaiti Prime Minister arrived in Hanoi yesterday, coming from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
