Saudi FM accuses Syrian regime of committing "war crimes" in Aleppo

RIYADH, May 1 (KUNA) -- Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir on Sunday accused the Syrian regime of committing "war crimes" in the northern city of Aleppo, which has been bombarded for nine days despite the cessation of hostilities agreement.
The head of the Syrian regime "will not last" and the international support for the Syrian opposition will continue, Al-Jubeir told a joint news conference with Rasit Meredow, the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan.
Syrian president Bashar "Al-Assad will not last as long as there is a steadfast people and a supporting international community," he said.
Hundreds of people were killed and injured in bombardment of Aleppo over the past several days.
Saudi Arabia and Turkmenistan signed earlier today nine cooperation agreements in the economic, investment and security fields. (end) od.bs
