MoH to host 29 world-renowned physicians in May

KUWAIT, April 30 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Health said Saturday it invited 29 senior physicians and consultants in various specialties to visit Kuwaiti hospitals, conduct rare surgeries and delivers lectures to medical symposia this May.
These visits fall in the framework of the Ministry's monthly program for enabling the medical staff of hospitals to share experience with foreign consultants, said director of the Ministry's Information and Public Relations Dept. Faisal Al-Dousary.
"The agenda of the visits includes conducting surgeries in such areas as cosmetics, cardiology, dermatology, otolaryngology, neoplasm, neurology, radiology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, urology, chemotherapy and naturopathy as well as post-surgery rehabilitation," he revealed.
"The consultants invited are from the United States, Canada, Britain, France, Spain, Italy, The Netherlands, Malaysia, India, South Africa, Turkey and Egypt," Al-Dousary pointed out.
He reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to pursuing the monthly visit programs around the year with a view to enabling the Kuwaiti medical cadres to keep abreast with the latest developments in the profession.
"To host world-renowned physicians and consultant surgeons spares the patients in Kuwait the trouble of travel given the fact that the Kuwaiti hospitals have the latest medical equipment," he added. (end) shd.gb
