Bahrain arrests 11 suspects in Karbabad terrorist attack - Interior Min.

MANAMA, April 29 (KUNA) -- The Bahraini Interior Ministry announced on Friday the arrest of suspects in the Karbabad terrorist attack that took place earlier this month killing a policeman.
Eleven suspects in the attack that targeted a police patrol with Molotov cocktails in the village of Karbabad, north of Manama on April 16, were arrested, the Ministry added in a statement relayed by the Bahraini News Agency (BNA).
Two other policemen were seriously injured in the attack.
According to the ministry, forensic evidence and information gathered during the investigation led to the identification and arrest of the suspects.
The investigation will continue until all suspects are identified and arrested, it said.
The ministry noted that the arrestees confessed to the crime, outlining the various roles each of before, during and after the attack. This included monitoring the movements of police jeeps, preparation of the weapons and attacking the police patrol with Molotov cocktails.
The case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
The Interior Ministry stressed that it would carry on with efforts to reinforce security all over the Kingdom. (end) mge.msa
