Arab League, Arab Parl't condemn bombardment of Al-Quds Hospital in Aleppo

CAIRO, April 29 (KUNA) -- The Arab League and Arab Parliament denounced Friday the airstrike on Al-Quds Hospital in the Syrian city of Aleppo which left over 50 patients and staff members dead, and dozens injured.
In a press statement, Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Araby said that he condemns in the strongest terms the brutal bombardment of Al-Quds Hospital in Aleppo.
He stressed that perpetrators of the heinous crime against Syrian civilians must be brought to justice.
He emphasized the need for intensifying efforts to stop hostilities and facilitate the delivery of aid to refugees, internally displaced people and those stranded in besieged cities.
Al-Araby reiterated the Arab League support to efforts to reach a peaceful solution to the crisis in Syria.
In the meantime, Arab Parliament Speaker Ahmad Al-Jarwan denounced the wave of airstrikes on Syrian cities over the past two days, especially the strike on Al-Quds Hospital.
He urged the international community to shoulder its responsibility towards the deteriorating situation in Syria. (end) mfm.esm.ibi
