UN chief lauds His Highness Amir's humanitarian efforts

KUWAIT, April 29 (KUNA) -- UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon expressed appreciation to support given by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to various humanitarian causes.
Ban made this remark during a phone call he made to His Highness the Amir on Friday.
The UN chief also hailed Kuwait for hosting intra-Yemen peace talks that aimed at ending a war that brought havoc to the country for many years.
He hoped that after these talks, a reconstruction and rebuilding process will begin in Yemen, with the help of the international community. (end) nfm
