Dasman Diabetes Institute achieves Platinum Accreditation

KUWAIT, April 24 (KUNA) -- Dasman Diabetes Institute (DDI), established by the Kuwait Foundation for Advancement of Science, received for the second time, the 'Platinum Accreditation' by Accreditation Canada International (ACI) for the period from November 2015 until 2018.
This achievement reflects the DDI's keenness on maintaining the quality, safety and continuous improvement of health care services, provided by the institute to citizens and residents, DDI Director-General, Dr. Qais Al-Duwairi said in a press statement.
He added that the Accreditation is an approach used by many health care and social services organizations, at Accreditation Canada International (ACI), a program is designed to improve client's outcomes and health system performance. It helps the entire organization work together to create a focus on safety and quality.
DDI has completed three full stages using the (ACI) program to identify what they do well and where they could do better, and make improvements based on the results.
Al-Duwairi stressed the importance of the attendance of the Canadian Ambassador to Kuwait, who delivered a speech in which she expressed her pride for the Institute for achieving this accreditation, and the evolution of medical, therapeutic and research services accomplished.(end).
