Kuwait welcomes Qatar's call for oil meeting in Apr.

KUWAIT, March 16 (KUNA) -- Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister and Acting Oil Minister Anas Al-Saleh on Wednesday welcomed an invitation from Qatari Oil Minister Mohammad Al-Sada for OPEC and non-OPEC producers to attend a meeting due in Doha on April 17th.
The meeting aims to complete earlier consultations on efforts to ensure stable oil markets and oil prices.
Speaking to KUNA, the Kuwaiti minister said he had told the Qatari minister by phone that Kuwait's participation in the meeting reflected its support to producers' efforts to stabilize the global oil market.
Al-Sada whose country holds the current rotating presidency of the OPEC announced in Doha earlier on Wednesday that his country would host a meeting on April 17th to find an effective way to ensure a stable oil market. (end) asj.abd.mt
