OFID organizes art for refugees auction

VIENNA, Feb 26 (KUNA) -- The OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) has organized a charity art auction for raising fund to aid refugees worldwide.
In a press statement issued Friday, OFID said that the auction, organized in collaboration with Raiffeisenbank, included over 100 different artworks and was held at OFID headquarters in Vienna.
It added that the event managed to raise over 20,000 euros which were donated to LIFE2LIVE, a leading refugees serving non-profit organization.
For his part, OFID Director-General Suleiman Jasir Al-Herbish lauded artists' role in helping the refugees.
He also shed lights on the role of OFID over the past 40 years in helping the people in need worldwide. (end) amg.ibi
