KUWAIT, Feb 22 (KUNA) -- Boubyan Bank announced on Monday that automatic deposit service by smart civil ID was launched, describing the strategic relation with Public Authority for Civil Information as a "example" of cooperation between the private and public sectors.
Clinets can made deposits through their smart civil IDs without the need to use their bank debit cards, Abdullah Al-Tuwaijri, Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Boubyan Bank, said during a joint news conference with the authority. Meanwhile, Director-General of the authority Musaed Al-Asausi said this achievement is part of a plan seeking to expand services of smart civil IDs at all government bodies, banks, oil companies and others.
He stressed the importance of the distinguished application of the smart civil ID in terms of its technical and security properties that has become a key factor in both citizens and residents lives.
He added that the smart civil ID contributed to solving problems pertaining to identity of citizens and residents using electronic services.
He said that there are some offices at some institutions offering this service, noting that other offices will be opened at other government bodies for the same purpose. (end) skm.tab.hm
