Egypt reopens Rafah crossing for two days

CAIRO, Feb 13 (KUNA) -- Egyptian authorities opened on Saturday "exceptionally" Rafah border crossing for humanitarian cases and stranded Palestinians on both sides.
The border crossing is open for two days for stranded Palestinians, including students, patients, holders of Egyptian, Arab and foreign residences, Egypt's official Middle East News Agency (MENA) quoted a source at the border crossing as saying.
Stranded Palestinian are arriving on both sides, the source said, adding that additional staff are working on facilitating relevant procedures.
Egypt often closes the Rafah crossing, but it reopens it occasionally for humanitarian cases and delivering aid into the Gaza Strip. (end) rg.hm
