MUNICH, Feb 12 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Deputy Premier and Defense Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah met with France's Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian in Munich, Germany, Friday.
The meeting discussed Kuwaiti-French bilateral military and defense ties, ways to boost cooperation between the two countries in order to serve their mutual interests, and the war on terror, Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah told KUNA.
Fighting the Islamic State (IS) requires bolstering cooperation between Kuwait and France and reinforcing communication tools to provide better preparations for facing the terrorist group, he said.
The Kuwaiti minister is in Munich to participate in the Munich Security Conference (MSC), which kicked off earlier with participation of over 30 international leaders and governments, and 70 foreign and defense ministers. (end) anj.ma
