12 Palestinians wounded in protests in solidarity with prisoner

RAMALLAH, Feb 12 (KUNA) -- At least 12 Palestinians were wounded in violent clashes with Israeli forces in several regions of the West Bank on Friday, the Palestinian Red Crescent said.
Seven Palestinians were injured in the clashes near Naalin town west of Ramallah. Among them, one Palestinian was seriously wounded in the head. Another was wounded with bullets in the chest in Al-Sadr district in Al-Kheder town near Bethlehem. A third was hit in the belly in identical violence near the Israeli Ofer detention camp in Ramallah. And three others suffered cuts in confrontations against the occupation forces in Abu Dais close to Jerusalem.
The occupied territories witnessed a wave of Palestinian protests today in solidarity with the Palestinian prisoner, Mohammad Al-Qaiq, who has been on hunger strike since 80 days ago, Al-Qaiq has been kept in administrative detention by the Israelis since November. (end) nq.rk
