Mubarak hospital's ER received 510,145 people in '15 -- official

KUWAIT, Feb 12 (KUNA) -- Some 510,145 patients received treatment at the emergency room of Mubarak Hospital in 2015, said its Director Dr. Ahmad Al-Hussaini Friday.
Speaking to KUNA, Dr. Al-Hussaini said that the hospital was studying these statistics to determine the best way to address challenges facing the hospital.
He added that the numbers would also help in setting Mubarak Hospital's plans in motion for the upcoming years.
March, April, May, October, November and December where the busiest months for Mubarak Hospital as opposed to the months of July and August, said the Director.
Meanwhile, the number of people treated at outpatient wards in 2015 was 321,522, said Dr. Al-Hussaini, adding that the number of patients treated at internal medicine wards was 161,629 in the same year.
He pointed out that some 113,181 people were treated at the specialized medicine wards in 2015.
The staff and administration of Mubarak Hospital are keen on providing the best medical care for patients in accordance with the Health Ministry's plans for developing healthcare in Kuwait, said the Director. (end) ndq.gta
