Israeli patrol crosses into Lebanon

BEIRUT, Feb 10 (KUNA) -- An Israeli military patrol on Wednesday crossed the Blue Line, established by the by the United Nations on June 7, 2000, to the north of the occupied Shebaa Farms in south Lebanon.
The Israeli soldiers went 100 meters deep into the border area, stole 100 head of cattle belonging to a Lebanese farmer and took them to the occupied territory, according to a statement by the Lebanese army.
The Lebanese army took note of the Israeli incursion and complained about it to the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), the statement said.
Israel occupied Shebaa Farms in the war of 1967 and kept control over the area after withdrawal from south Lebanon in 2000. (end) wsm.gb
