Trump, Sanders dominate US primary in New Hampshire

 WASHINGTON, Feb 10 (KUNA) -- Democratic Presidential nominee Bernie Sanders and Republican Donald Trump won the US Presidential primary in New Hampshire.
In what is considered a record turnout, Senator Sanders from Vermont dominated with 60 percent of the votes, winning the primary against his opponent former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton who gained 38.4 percent. The upcoming Democratic primary will be held in South Carolina on February 27th.
Donald Trump won the Republican primary with a big margin of around 35.1 percent of the votes over his closest contender Governor of Ohio John Kasich who gained about 15.9 percent.
Texas senator Ted Cruz in came in third with 11.6 percent, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush was fourth with 11.1 percent, and Florida Senator Marco Rubio was in fifth place with 10.6 percent. The next Republican primary will be held in North Carolina on February 20th. (end) yt.gta
