Two Turkish soldiers killed in clashes with PKK militants

ISTANBUL, Feb 9 (KUNA) -- Two Turkish soldiers were killed and three others injured in clashes with the Kurdish PKK militant southern the country on Tuesday, a police source announced.
The Anadolu News Agency reported that the two soldiers were killed in an anti-terror raid in the southeastern Sirnak's Cizre district.
The PKK resumed its military operations against the Turkish security forces in late July 2015.
Since then, more than 260 members of the security forces and thousands of PKK members have been killed in operations across Turkey and northern Iraq, according to the Turkish news agency. (end) ta.ibi
