Death toll of German train collision up to 8

BERLIN, Feb 9 (KUNA) -- German police stated Tuesday that the death toll of the collision between two passenger trains south of the country have jumped up to eight.
In a press statement, local police spokesman said that the death toll have risen to eight and the number could increase as 50 out of over 90 others passengers are seriously injured in the accident.
The police have announced earlier that the two commuter trains have collided head-on in Bad Aibling two, about 60 kilometers southeast of Munich, in one of the country's deadliest rail accidents in years. (pickup previous) anj.ibi
