KUWAIT, Feb 9 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait seeks to find the best solutions of spending rationalization and addressing economic disorders facing the country, Minister of Public Works Dr. Ali Al-Omair has stressed.
In a press statement on the sidelines of inauguration of the Kuwait International Nanotechnology Conference and Exhibition on Tuesday, Al-Omair, also Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs, said the State always works on developing education and coping with scientific revolution. Nanotechnology aims to benefit peoples and scientific researches in all fields, he added, expecting that this technology will be used in oil industry to achieve best goals in this field.
Scientific researches have not been affected by ups and downs of oil prices, he said, stressing the continuing researches of the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) and Kuwait University so as to enhance the country's status on regional and international levels.
He extolled the role of employees of information technology, KISR and KU in organizing the exhibition, referring to the significance of the three-day conference to discuss this industry and its applications in modern sciences.
