BAGHDAD, Feb 9 (KUNA) -- The Iraqi military announced Tuesday that it had restored control over Husaybah Al-Sharqiya area in Ramadi from the so-called Islamic State, a step which liberated the entire region of Ramadi.
The joint special operations command in Iraq said that the army had reopened the road between Khaldiya and Ramadi after the announcement.
The troops managed to destroy several assets and equipment belonging to IS during the operation. (end)
