Kuwaiti MPs, officials discuss plans to tackle economic problems

KUWAIT, Feb 8 (KUNA) -- The National Assembly Bureau, at a session presided by Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim on Monday, held talks with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and the Acting Oil Minister, Anas Al-Saleh, along with a number of ranking officials on a host of issues concerning the current economic conditions.
The discussions, involving 16 MPs, dealt with means of tackling the State Budget deficit, in shadow of continuing fall of oil prices. Minister Al-Saleh and other officials who also attended the meeting briefed the lawmakers about the Government perspective and views with respect of the relevant files.
The meeting grouped officials from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Electricity and the housing care authority. (end) sss.rk
