BEIRUT, Feb 7 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) continued on Sunday its humanitarian aid campaign to assist Syrian refugees in southern Lebanon.
KRCS' President of the delegation Nabil Buftain told KUNA that 350 food parcels were delivered.
The supplies, including 350 of cleaning packages, were given to Syrian families in the town of Sarda in southern Lebanon.
Buftain added that the KRCS' campaign is ongoing to cover the needs of Syrian families settling in various areas of Lebanon, stressing importance of the Kuwaiti Government's keenness to help and provide direct assistance to them at such critical times.
Lebanon is hosting more than 1.1 million Syrian refugees, registered by the UN refugee agency since start of the Syrian internal war. However, Lebanese officials estimate their number at more than 1.5 million. (end) mah.ss
