NEW YORK, Feb 6 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Fatwa and Legislation Department asserted Saturday the importance of Kuwait's participation in the 64th session of United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNICTRAL) in gaining experience and acquiring the necessary skills.
Fatwa and Legislation department's Advisor and head of the delegation Jasser Al-Dabous told KUNA that such importance is due to Kuwait's role as a vital member in these meetings and this session, which represents at the same time a great opportunity to gain experience and learn skills for the participating delegates.
The Commission carries out its work annually at the United Nations' Headquarters in New York and at the Vienna International Centre in Vienna.
Each working group of the Commission typically holds one or two sessions a year, depending on the subject-matter to be covered; these sessions also alternate between New York and Vienna.
This year's session began in February 1st and concluded last night.
The Kuwaiti delegation also included First Deputy Ruqaia Mohammad Dhaif Allah Sharar, Attorney Al-Zain Mazin Al-Sabah, in addition to members representing the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry including Dr. Anwar Al-Fuzaie and Dr. Anas Al-Toorah. (end) maa.mb
