34 people killed, wounded in fire in SE Turkey

ISTANBUL, Feb 5 (KUNA) -- At least nine people were killed and 25 others wounded due to a huge fire outbreak in an area in Sirnak province, southeastern Turkey, official media reported Friday.
The wounded sustained multiple burns due to the fire that broke out in one of the buildings in Cizre district of Sirnak, known for its Kurdish population majority, local security sources stated, according to Ihlas News Agency (IHA).
Causes and reasons of the fire outbreak are still under investigation in the city, which has been under curfew imposition by security forces since mid-December, 2015 to eliminate Kurdistan Workers' Party's (PKK) members and demolish all their trenches that are filled with explosives. (end) ta.ma
