BEIRUT, Jan 24 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) continued on Sunday its (Warm Winter 2016 Campaign) to assist the Syrian displaced families in Lebanon.
KRCS' envoy to Lebanon Dr. Musaed Al-Anzi said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that some 1,800 parcels of blankets and detergent were distributed to the needy, noting that 900 families in the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon would benefit from this aid.
Al-Anzi added that the KRCS' campaign is ongoing to cover the needs of 30,000 Syrian families displaced in various areas of Lebanon, stressing the importance of providing this assistance at this time especially with bad weather in order to alleviate the suffering of displaced Syrians living amid tragic and difficult circumstances.(end) mah.tg
