1899 -- The British political resident in the Arabian Gulf signed a protection treaty with Kuwait's seventh ruler Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah.
1963 -- The election of the first legislative term was held for choosing the first Kuwaiti National Assembly in line with the Constitution, adopted on November 11, 1962.
1964 -- Temperature hit lowest-ever, reaching minus-four degree in Kuwait.
1971 -- National Assembly member Ali Thaniyan Al-Azina died.
1971 -- The election of the third legislative term was held, with 180 candidates competing.
