KRCS chairman meets with Lebanese officials

BEIRUT, Jan 21 (KUNA) -- Chairman of Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer met Thursday with Lebanese Agriculture Minister Akram Shaheeb. Al-Sayer said to KUNA that under firm directions of his Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Kuwait assists countries that give aid and host refugees by giving them all support needed.
For his part the Lebanese agriculture minister said that Kuwait is providing support for both Lebanese farmers and refugees at the same time by buying agriculture commodities from farmers and aiding the refugees with it, pointing out the enormous role of KRCS projects.
Al-Sayer also met with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies officials, asserting on combining all efforts to support and aid Syrian refugees all over the world.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the Lebanese Red Cross Georges Kettaneh said that KRCS has earned under the directions of his Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah the respect of the international movement of the Red Cross and Red Crescent all over the world.
Kettaneh expresses his gratitude to KRCS for their humanitarian efforts in supporting all in need describing the Lebanese Red Cross and KRCS working alongside on the ground as a distinguished fieldwork. (end) mah.mys
