KUWAIT, Jan 12 (KUNA) -- Parliament Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim announced tuesday end of an interpellation against Health Minister Dr. Ali Al-Obaidi, who expressed keenness on protecting rights of patients in public and private sectors.
Al-Ghanim said today's session has ended and today's issues on the agenda would be discussed tomorrow.
Al-Obaidi said he would study the remarks presented by MPs Rakan Al-Nesf and Hamdan Al-Azmi to ultimately develop medical services.
MP Ahmad Al-Azmi spoke in favor of the grilling and complained of the repeated mistakes committed by the ministry of health's medical staff, considering them "unacceptable." He said a female citizen passed away in Al-Adan Hospital due to a "grave medical mistake." MP Yusuf Zelzelah spoke against the interpellation and commended the performance of the medical staff of the ministry of health, which he said was adopting a clear roadmap to develop its services.
Minister Al-Obaidi, following the session, thanked His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-sabah for his support for the development of the health sector. (pickup previous) rfk.sss.bs
