KNPC shuts down some manufacturing units at Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery

KUWAIT, Dec 27 (KUNA) -- Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) announced that some manufacturing units and other units of the Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery were shut down on Sunday morning.
KNPC's official spokesman and vice CEO of Support Services Engineer Khalid Al-Asousi told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery management made a decision to shut down these units as a precautionary measure following outage of cooling water coming from the sea which the Public Authority for Industry pumps to the refinery.
آ آ آ He explained that this unscheduled suspension resulted in some emissions and fumes for a limited period which did not exceed one hour, pointing out that work is under way to restart the stalled units and return them to the normal situation that will take some time.(end) asj.tb.tg
