Iran hopes new Lebanese Pres. elected soon

BEIRUT, Nov 30 (KUNA) -- Iranian spiritual leader's foreign affairs advisor, Ali Akbar Velayati, hoped Monday Lebanese political forces would soon elect a President, who would be approved by all parties.
He was speaking to reporters after a meeting with Prime Minister Tamam Salam, and said he got the impression during the talks with Salam that hopes to elect a new president were high.
Velayati said relations between Iran and Lebanon were strong.
The Lebanese parties have failed since May 2014 to elect a new president to succeed Michel Suleiman due to differences among the political parties. (end) wsm.bs
